Originally adopted from Turkish cuisine, this delicious dried spiced meat is a favourite staple of Egyptian breakfast and supper meals. It may be close to Pastrami, but it is different in how it is made and how it tastes.

The taste is delicious and it is usually mixed with scrambled eggs or omelettes, and can also be eaten separately. It can be eaten without cooking.
